At the beginning of April, Jeromy and I were lucky enough to snag some last minute tickets to the Twins season opener. Thanks to our friend, Greg Davis, for selling us three tickets - two for us, and one for our pal Rachel! This season opener was a bigger deal than your average season opener because this year is the last year the Twins will be playing in the iconic Metrodome. Although it's sad to bid farewell (I have grown-up going to the Dome), there is much excitement for the new, outdoor stadium that will open next Spring. Three cheers for Target Field! Woo hoo!!
The Dome was packed and the excitement level in the place was high. We had a great time hanging out with Greg, Rachel, Nick, and Erin as we watched the Twins battle it out with the Mariners. Although we had a fun time cheering and spectating, our hometown team couldn't quite pull it out...and lost. :-( Oh well...the rest of the season lies ahead.
